    I'm running 2.4.5 but can't find the package anywhere to try and upload as biniary

    That is something you set within your FTP program.

    Yes, you should set "transfer in binary mode" option when uploading with your FTP software.

    Confirming: Issue has been resolved by upgrading to vBSEO RC3 and uploading in binary mode.
