Question Exploitation Vbseo 3.6.0

Hi Vbseo, recently today, some of my users reported that their browser, google chrome reported that my site is infected with a malware.

I contacted my server admin to check this matter and this is the message he posted "Are you running the latest software such as vbseo? There was an exploit in it regarding linkbacks that would allow this to happen. I recently had a customer hacked that way."

Can vbseo verify that their recent vbseo version does not contain any exploitation?

malware can also come from an embedded image.

    ie,

    a member posts

later, that owner lets the site laspe.
    and the image dies

some rogue person buys that domain, and quickly sets up a simple htaccess rule to direct all images to a script/etc causing the malware popup.

If you are seeing this, you need to edit those threads in question to remove the effected contents.
