    Error 403 after servermove

    Hi,

I got a Access denied (403) after I installed my forums on a new server. The database isn't transfered yet, but that isn't necessary. I "want" to see a database vBulletin error.
Hope you know what I mean.
The backup of my vBSEO files are uploaded/downloaded via Binary Mode.

Hope you know what I mean now.

That usually means the server isn't set to look for a default document. (index.php)

    piepo,

does it work correctly with vBSEO disabled on a new server? Is mod_rewrite enabled / rewrite rules allowed in .htaccess at your host?

I haven't look in the httpd.conf but I think the .htaccess files causes my problem. If I delete them, I get a vBulletin error.

    @ Oleg

I can't disable vBSEO, because the database isn't transferred. I need to know if everything works correctly on the vServer, before I can transfer my database (I don't want a downtime for my forums)
Mod_rewrite is enabled (as you can see in the PHPInfo)

Oleg, are you fit in using linux? Than I could send you a root account...

    Hello,

Yes, the probelm is solved, I described this in yesterday's PM to you.
    Here is the quote:
    Ok, I found the problem!
In your virtual hosts configuration file (confixx_vhost.conf), you had the following directives:
    Options -FollowSymLinks -SymLinksIfOwnerMatch

They disallow mod_rewrite from working using .htaccess. I've commented this line out and there is no .htaccess issue anymore.
As for database error, you wrote that "There is no mysql db installed (which has my project inside). ", so I guess you can move your database now

    Hi Oleg,

didn't recieve the PN, sorry for this!

could you please take a look again?!

After a reupload of all vbseo files in binary mode, I get the same errors again. And now the database works!

edit: When you click a link to a forum on my website politikpla.net/forum you will get an Error 404?
