DataBase Errors in random threads - Showthread is the problem - How to resolve?

im having a very similar error to [Database Errors problem[/url]

however my error seems to be in showthread and not in forumdisplay (which is where the error is in the thread above)

most of the changes on my site have been plugins and not extensions (eg file edits) though i reuploaded showthread anyways - with no luck

i had the daniiweb mod rewrite on 3.0 last year and some characters like ' or : caused some problems. However, none of these seem to cause any problems with the vbseo script so im stumped what it could be

No doubt, a few other people have had this problem so any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated

    thank you

Hmm, doesn't immediately grab me as being vBSEO related...do you have Ebux/vBBux installed?

Doesn't it have a setting that involves rewarding the user who referred someone, when that someone makes a post?

That would have to call on the referrer field.

Also, do you maybe have a post in that thread that belongs to a user that has been tachied? Or a guest post?

P.S: How are we supposed to check the URL when you change the domain name?

*edit to ad* And.. extensions don't require file edits either.

its definately related to vbseo...the error started occuring shortly after installtion

i dont have any vbulletin point system or money system installed. I have never allowed guests to post in the forum so it cant be that

Have you installed any plugins or modifications which make any changes to the ./showthread.php functionality? Also have you made any code modifications too to any vBulletin files?

Do you have Referrals In Postbit - vBulletin.org Forum installed?

Or anything else that shows referrer details in postbit?

is there a way round this...eg keeping the hack and getting rid of the errors

its no big deal if the only solution is uninstalling this hack
