    Database Errors

    Database error in vBulletin 3.5.0:

    Invalid SQL:
    SELECT * FROM forum WHERE forumid =;

    MySQL Error : You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1
    Error Number : 1064
    Date : Sunday, October 30th 2005 @ 11:23:11 PM
    Script : http://www.staff-lounge.com/forumdisplay.php?f=&page=1
    Referrer :
    IP Address : **.*.***.***
    Username : Unregistered
    Classname : vb_database
    I am persistantly receiving errors identical to this to my email account email. Although i havent yet experienced an error like this before, and i would assume i am visiting more of the sites pages than unregistered user. Moreso these errors always appear to be delivered in batches of around 3-10 ... which leads me to think this could be something server related, being unable to handle the queries.

    I have found one of the errors which appeared to be vBSEO related. After registration, you are presented with a welcome page which asks you to edit your Profile .... visit the Forums etc ... well the link to visit the forums was not http://www.staff-lounge.com/ but instead http://www.staff-lounge.com/www.staff-lounge.com this error message has only began appearing after i upgraded to 2.1.1

    @Michael:

    The forum ID is missing in that URL. How do you navigate to that URL?

    Thanks, i have followed your instructions as specified within in the PM.
    And it appears users are commonly trying to follow the ./forumdisplay.php?do=markread URL

    Hi Michael,

    do you have any modifications applied to forumdisplay.php file? (as the standard markread link leads to db error in your case)

    I havent made hard coded modifications to the forumdisplay.php file.
    Should i perhaps re-upload the vBulletin 3.5.X default just to be sure?

    I was checking my "last modified" timeline for my files, and it would appear that a modification has been applied to the .forumdisplay.php file on the 23/10/2005. I began, though, receiving error messages on the day i upgraded to vB SEO 2.1.1

    Yes, I suggest you to revert to original file once its lastmod time changed. You can also disable vBSEO and open markread link to check if that happens anyway.

    I have overwriten the modified file with the newly downloaded vBulletin edition from my Members Area, and i must admit that the ./forumdisplay.php?do=markread URL is now functioning fine. I took the liberty of checking my modified file, and the fresh file and discovered that infact i had installed a modification, it was called: Filter Threads by Post Icon
