    Custom Redirect Rules - Help

    Hello,

    Okey, i think what i'm trying to do is somehow possible...

    first my settings for the forum rewrite is: [forum_id]_[forum_title]
    and what i'm trying to do is

    whenever is user try to access /35_name-of-title he is redirected to a specific url which is /General.

    i want this for a specifi url not all forums, the problem the url contain non-latin words how can i make the rule?

    let me be more clear:
    if the user goes to this link, he is supposed to be redirected to this link.

    is that possible? and how?

    Thanx
    Saif

    Hello,

    Try using the slugs feature.

    vBSEO Slugs - Custom Forum Titles
    Note: this article reflects vbseo version 3.3.x.

    In vbseo 3.5, the slugs are now available within the standard vbseo control panel.
    General Settings> vBSEO Options > Advanced tab
    => Define vBSEO Forum Slugs

    So, you would want to use
    191=>"General"

    Back off the change for now.

    I have flagged this for a developer to assist you.

    i found a work around for this,

    i added the slug like before:
    191=>'General'

    then added a custom redirect:
    '191_General/' => 'General/'

    and walla, it was fixed, though i'm still waiting for the developers solution.

    Hello,

    you should set Forum URL format to "[forum_title]" in this case.
