custom avatars not working... url being re-written wrong?

    Hi,

I am testing my backups. I have implemented a full backup to my local webserver at home. Everything has worked fine aside from all custom avatars missing. Upon further inspection all avatar file names have incremented by a count of one. For example missing avatar image in forums will have properties of /32148_4.gif and this will not show an image. If I change the file name to /32148_3.gif I can see the image. I have no ideawhy this is happening, my prod site is fine. I've tried a number of the rebuild maintenance routines, have tried moving avatars to the database which did not work and re-exporting them to the file system, enabled/disabled avatar re-write. Any ideas?

    Thanks

Hi, I disabled vbseo in the vbseo control panel but unsure that is enough. What is the cleanest way to fully disable vbseo for this test. Also group photos and attachments are missing, all incremented by one number. For example a group photo: picture36399-a.html is broken but 36398-a.html works if i manually change the url..

    Hello,

You need to disable vBSEO from the vBSEO control panel and then rename your .htaccess file to something else in order to disable it completely.

ok i tracked it down to my dbdump.. dumping mysql at utf8 instead of latin1 seems to have rectified the problem. Using a utf8 dump all is well.

Updating - Signature images don't work on mine either. Thought it was a similar problem, but it isn't.
