What are your cookie settings in AdminCP -> vBulletin Options?
Path to Save Cookies
Path to cookie: /
custom setting:
Cookie Domain
cookie domain: (blank)
custom setting:
Choose the .domain.com option for the cookie domain.
I am having login problems as well now. When I try to login or go to the Admin panel from that login it directs me to a blank page.
My cookies are currently set to the .domain.com setting.
My fault ... disregard.
I have the same problem as a fix?
Hey,
as Keith mentioned above set the cookie domain setting to .yourdomain.tld.
Further if the forum is located in a subfolder you should edited the cookie-path to /subfolder, if you call the forum like this: http: //www.domain.com/forum/
I am having the same issue, so it won't mess it up if I changed it to .domain?
Do not make it .domain.com. Make it your domain.tld. So if I own vbseo.com, the cookie domain would be .vbseo.com
The Forum Hosting - Forum Hosting from the Forum Experts
This corrected a problem of mine where logging in through domain.com wouldn't log a user in. A user would be logged in only through www.domain.com. After enabling .domain.com, it corrected the problem.
I had been experiencing the same problems and after a search found this thread. I followed your advice and now can't log into my VB control panel !!
I changed the options in the drop down menu to /forums/.
Now I can log into the forums - old problem still present but when I try to log into my admin panel it logs in but returns me to the log in form.
Help !
Stuart

Hi Mert,
many thanks for the quick reply although I'm not quite sure what you mean?????????
I managed to log in through IE as opposed to Firefox which I normally use and reset everything to blank and /.
Something has happened in recent weeks which means that logging into the several VB forums that I own is challenging to say the least. I log in with user name and password which brings me to the forum pages except it seems that I am not logged in (can't access forums which are only allowed to be viewed by logged in members). However when I click on one of the forums, I am immediatedly shown as logged in in the username password place (top right of page)
When I log in as admin to the admin page, It says thatnk you for logging in but seconds later returns to the log in form. It's only when I tick the "save open groups" option in the options tab, that I am able to login.
I felt at first that it was either Firefox or my new lap top???????? But it also happens when I log in from other computers. It has all started in recent months and is happening on all of my VB sites
Ideas welcome (in non tech speak if possible !!!)
Kind regards,
Stuart
