configuration file license key location

Hi,

From vbseocp.php:

"Your License Key changes with 1) a new vBSEO version or 2) a change in forum URL. Save your current License Key (displayed in Red below) in your configuration file. Once entered, the License Key turns Green indicating a licensed product:"

Where is the configuration file located? Also, do I need to do this for a test environment install (the test environment is *not* publically viewable)?
