Can't create new forums...

I'm trying to create a new forum and reassign a parent forum, but am finding that after clicking on the newly moved forum that it comes up with no information.

Let me preface that I had the .htaccess information moved to httpd.conf. Is it safe to say that since it's no longer in the root directory that this is the issue? I'm having my hosting techs move it back to see if that helps, but I'm trying to figure out if that's going to make a difference or if there's another issue.

Forums are formatted as:

/my-forum/forum_id/forum_name.html

So I'm at a bit of a loss here....? - Ian

I just figured it out. Apparently You can't use numbers in the title of your forums under that format:

Example "2007 NFL Football Season Archives"

or

Example:"NFL Football Season Archives From 2007"

You have to use "NFL Football 2007 Season Archives".

Pass this one along....I'm sure I'm not the only idiot that couldn't figure that one out

This should not have occurred unless you used a custom URL format that might have created a conflict somehow.

I did just that. I created a custom URL to include my forum id and thread id which was done to lighten the load on the server. Doing this took care of a performance issue (and sped things up dramatically) and solved that problem, but it took a while to realize that using a number at the start or end of a forum title was causing the problem.
