    Broken Links

well, i've searched through these forums as well as the troubleshooting document and can't seem to figure this out... When enabling vbSEO all of my links break... I get a 404 error. It was just recently that i realized it was redirecting my links to "http://myforum.com/admins-mods/" in which there is no such folder "admins-mods". Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

    Hi Shaun,

Do you have any Custom Rewrite Rules setup that include the 'admins-mods' phrase?

thanks for the response. I do not have any custom rewrite rules setup... I essentially just installed it and tried enabling it... I have not made any modifications.

ok, i got the "admins-mods" redirect to go away by changing my URL to include the "www" in front of it in my vBulletin CP settings.... but the redirect now points what looks like rewritten links (showthread = "thread/topic...") which still brings up the 404.

Please submit a Support Ticket with URL details, and FTP details, and one of the Total Support Team will look into it as soon as they can.

    this solved it:

I see that your are running on Windows/IIS (not unix/apache). In this case you should have ISAPI_Rewrite module installed and insert rewrite rules in httpd.ini file as described in installation instructions for IIS.

I am having the same issue with IIS. I see that you mention installing "ISAPI_Rewrite module". Where do I find that here and where are the instructions for use? Thanks.

    Hello,

you canfind ISAPI_Rewrite Lite at Helicon Tech - Download
vBSEO rewrite rules for IIS are included in isapi_rewrite.txt file in vBSEO package.

my ISP does not support ISAPI_Rewrite but does support LinkFreeze. Does your product work with LinkFreeze? If so how do I configure?

linkfreeze is a different product. You need ISAPI_Rewrite Lite (free IIS module) to run vBSEO.
