Bots Activity Falling as well as rating..

This is a discussion on Bots Activity Falling as well as rating.. within the Troubleshooting forums, part of the vBSEO SEO Plugin category; Hi, I guess the portion I don't understand is that my URL's are all html but it still shows *.php ...

    Bots Activity Falling as well as rating..

    Hi,

    I guess the portion I don't understand is that my URL's are all html but it still shows *.php in SE Bot activity (is that normal). Apart from that the figures aren't looking spectacular either. Unless I made a mistake somewhere although I have the default SEO setup.

    In the past I used to see a lot of spiders on my site but that has fallen although the sitemap are still being downloaded on a daily basis.

    Any ideas?

    showthread.php is the global name of all showthread pages , it is same for forumdisplay.php also.

    showthread.php (Total) 669 (Google) 606 means that GoogleBot visited 669 different showthread links.

    That part I understand but not that my index in google etc have fallen quite a lot.

    Guess I must have redirects, settings or something wrong somewhere then...

    GoogleBot visits the seo'd urls in your forum. The reports need to have a global name for all showthread pages and the global names are showthread.php.

    The number of indexed pages are expected to drop as the duplicate content is purged. The best way to monitor the results of your site is by watching where the visitors are coming from, not the number of pages listed somewhere for them to find you with.
