Some, but not all, of the links in a new blog install aren't working properly.

For example, at:
http://www.domain.com/forum/blogs/

When I mouse over the "Your Blog" link on the left, it points to:
http://www.domain.com/forum/blogs/a/

Which gives a page not found (my username isn't 'a'). Seems like it should be pointing to ./forum/blogs/username/ or ./forum/blogs/username/a/

When I create a new test post, it takes me to:
http://www.domain.com/forum/blogs/username/2-test.html

Where the link from my username accurately points to:
http://www.domain.com/forum/blogs/username/

But from that page, when I click on my username it points back to the dead link:
http://www.domain.com/forum/blogs/a/

However, if I click on the subject line from the same page, it points me to:
http://www.domain.com/forum/blogs/a/2-test.html

Which lands me successfully on:
http://www.domain.com/forum/blogs/username/2-test.html

Anyway, I just haven't been able to figure out where the ./blogs/a/ links are coming from for some pages but not others, whether or not that should be 404 not found, why /a/{title}.html works, etc.

what is your username?

sounds like some special character issue.

Generally, if you allow more than a-z and 0-9 in usernames, you shouldn't rely on it. You should include the ID as well.

It's a common word, all normal letters, only 7 characters long. ID #2.

So I'll just disable rewriting in the blogs area since it's broken on my site.

Are you using a preset URL format or have you modified any of the blog URLs?

Says custom in vbseocp, but it was default a few vbseo versions back, and I haven't touched it since. I haven't modified any of the blog urls.

Try clicking on the username inside the featured blog post, that's one of the places that it points (badly) to blogs/a/. The "your blog" link on the left is the same.

Please open a ticket with ftp/vbseocp access for troubleshooting.

I'm having the exact same issue. In addition, my page navigation is not working. I've disabled SEO on the blogs but I'm interested in how this issue was resolved
