Avatars Broken

We have now got vBSEO running but our avatars seem to be broken. For example see architechs post here:

URL Format = [user_name].gif

Hm.. is it working correctly if you temporary disable vBSEO and view the same showthread page? (perhaps there is a problem in your template)

When I did a view source of the code...

The link where the picture should be was only my forum home default.

Reality TV | Reality TV Chat | Reality Television

with nothing after it.

I was looking in vBulletin for any settings that I could have not running right but everything LOOKS fine. (I am sure you have heard that before!)

Any help is appreciated!

I experienced this too but then I changed the storage mode of avatars from database to filesystem and all worked.

I REALLY hate the fact that vB uses the database to hold images by default. All it does is slow your site down.

I'd suggest everyone Change it to filesystem.

It was done that way because of sites that don't have access to change directory permissions, or their server is running in safe mode. So, it's easier to just have it store everything in the database. That's always the first thing I change too.

is it working correctly with vBSEO temporarily disabled? I suppose that it is related to storage method of avatar images.

I changed it from database to file system but that did not seem to work.

The avators work on the users profile page...but not inside the forum.

Insdie the forum it is only giving the path to the root installation of the forum and not to the entire path.

I am sure I have something setup funky but I am just trying to see why its not working.

Please let me know if you need more info....Thanks!
