Auto-retrieve titles from external links doesn't always work.

I really like the way "Automatically retrieve titles from external links" works and so do my members, but it doesn't seem to work all the time. I think the issue is when I link to pages on my own site that are not forum pages. All the other pages of my site are made with vBadvanced CMPS. They all have titles, but they aren't being retrieved, for some reason.

I also just noticed tonight, after upgrading to 3.0.0 RC6, that the feature doesn't work on any local links, including the forums. Off-site links seem to retrieve the titles okay in the 2 examples on that page, but I have seen it not work on similar links on other pages (no rhyme or reason).

What settings should I check before resorting to opening a trouble ticket?

Hello Jim,

"automatic title extraction" feature is currently only applied to external URLs (links to the same domain are ignored).

There is another feature - "Add Thread Titles", that is applied to local URLs, but it affects showthread links only.

Oh, I see, then it's not a malfunction. Is there any hope that this will apply to internal links in the near future? Is there a way for me to make that happen now with some custom configuration or edit?

Seems like that would be as beneficial in some respects for internal links as it would for external links.

Currently it is not possible to achieve, thank you for suggestion to consider this for future vBSEO versions.
