Attachments Don't Work

    Attachments Don't Work

    Using vb3.5 and gold vbseo 2, I can't get it to rewrite my attachments. I get this error.

    Not Found

    The requested URL /main/attachments/vbseo.php was not found on this server.

    Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Hi,

    please let us know what url format do you use for attachments and please check that you don't have real "main/attachments/" folder at your host.

    Yes. I'm sorry.

    The system was a little odd, since by default I believe vBulletin uses the attachments/ folder for storing files on the server. vBSEO went and threw in the folder name automatically. Very odd.

    So yes, I got it working, though I did find some peculiar behavior. When adding the original filename to the attachment, I have found that safari cannot view the image in the browser, but must instead download it to the desktop. Very odd behavior to say the least.

    hmm.. can you post the URL format you are using for attachements? are you using the [original_filename] variable at the end?

    I was using one of the default variables. I tried them all, and eventually just dropped the file name right out of it.
