    404 handling

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this or not.

I have a question about how 404's are handled.

In vbseo.php there are a number of instances where vbseo_404() is called directly after, for example, a security check on the path. The result of this is obviously an immediate "Page Not found" page instead of the custom page or the redirect to forumhome.

My question is why is this specific case handled this way instead of calling vbseo_404_routine() and having consistent behavior?

These cases are handled as "undocumented" requests, i.e. which should not normally occur.
