vBSEO sitemap telling of duplicate content?

vBSEO Google/Yahoo Sitemap reports 2238 members but I know I only have half that figure.

21820 posts - but we only have 11000 or so according to the board stats.

Is my vBSEO sitemap installation reporting duplicate links and therefore duplicate content to Google? Will I get penalised? If so, how do I correct it?

You should upgrade to vBSEO 3.3.0 Rc2 and vBSEO Sitemap Generator 2.5 to fix the issue you are facing.

Updated vBSEO but I can only see Sitemap Generator 2.2 in the downloads area.

Sorry, I don't understand your question?

It's reporting 22,000 posts when I know there's only 11,000. 2,200 members when I know there are only 1100 or so.

If you click on the warnings , webmaster tool will give you information about which pages does create that duplicate content.

Google Webmaster Tools Dashboard » Your Domain » Diagnostics » Content Analysis

There you can see a list of which pages are being reported having duplicate titles, description, etc.

EDIT:
Btw, your (permalink) URLs (on the top-right of each post) are broken.

I took a look at your sitemap file. You have the option of including old vBulletin URLs set to Yes. Thats why your sitemap reports are telling you exactly the double amount of actual URLs. As both the formats are included in the sitemap :

/forums/showthread.php?t=123
/forums/forum-title/thread-title-123/

Also I'd suggest you to disable including showpost URLs in the sitemap.

Btw, If you have just recently installed vBSEO,
you may want to leave the old URLs included in the sitemap for a couple of weeks.
