    Rewrite: Thread URL Format Bug

    Hi,

I found a bug using the vBSEO 3.1.0 module.

Under URL Rewrite Settings > Thread URL Format:

    The second option is: [forum_title]/[thread_id]-[thread_title].html

If I add a custom rules by swapping the id and title around so it reads:

    [forum_title]/[thread_title]-[thread_id].html

Then anything with a number in it i.e. 5 great reasons to shop online, goes to another thread.

i.e. When you click to view it, it actually takes you to another thread with the number 5 in it. So I think it is getting confused. It only happens with url's with numbers in it.

    Can you fix please?

I would like the title before the id.

If you change the URL format, you should update ALL related URL formats correspondginly to avoid possible URL conflicts (like multipage thread URLs, "goto newpost" etc).
That's why it is suggested to use one of the URL presets instead.

I tried to do the same thing, on a brand-new installation, and it didn't work at all for me (with vBSEO 3.0.0).

If only the URL presets actually work, perhaps the custom field option should be removed....

The custom fields work, but you have to be VERY sure everything is consistent, as Oleg stated. That's why those options are hidden, and only the presets are shown by default.
