Need version 2.2. V2.5 Breaks our Board

    Hey Guys,

I just upgraded to v2.5 and it breaks our links addon to the sitemap generator, which was all working fine on v2.2.

I searched both this site and vb.org and you have replaced all versions with 2.5.

I don't have time to fix the problems with the upgrade and need to revert back to 2.2.

Please be kind and make these releases available as well

    Thank you.

Database error when we include the addon. No error when we do not include it.

    Database error is non-descriptive.

I need version 2.2. I don't have time to discuss right now or troubleshoot, I simply need my working version 2.2 back :-)

    Thanks.

I am sorry, but I do not have access to the 2.2 files. However, I can try and help solve the 2.5 issue as the sitemap will only generate once a day.

For the database error, right click on the screen and view page source, that will show you the database error.

    Update:

We fixed this. The problem was errors in this file as included in the 2.5 release: vbseo_sm_vba_links.php

Our original version of vbseo_sm_vba_links.php, which we recovered from our archives, worked perfectly.

There is no database error when I use our original version of vbseo_sm_vba_links.php

The error somes when we use the version of this file distributed in 2.5.

There were some errors and we fixed them a while back (documented on the vBadvanced board by user: lostcode).

    Cheers.

Also, I noticed the version 2.5 can cause Google errors in the sitemap using "Smart Priorities", because some of our Priorities were blank.

When I turned off Smart Priorities and used the standard ones, the sitemap was rebuilt propertly and there was no errors / cautions in the map.

Example problems with smart priority in 2.5 (or whatever it is called):

    www:/tmp/data# grep "><" sitemap*
    sitemap_1.xml: <priority></priority>
    sitemap_20.xml: <priority></priority>
    sitemap_20.xml: <priority></priority>
    sitemap_20.xml: <priority></priority>
    sitemap_20.xml: <priority></priority>
    sitemap_20.xml: <priority></priority>
    sitemap_20.xml: <priority></priority>
    sitemap_20.xml: <priority></priority>
You can easily see blanks, Google complained this was invalid and asked for corrected maps.

I turned off the "smart feature", reran the sm generator, and:

    www:/tmp/data# grep "><" sitemap*
    #
    All blanks gone :-)

What are your "Priority range" settings defined in vBSEO Sitemap Generator options? Make sure that you define *ranges*, like 0.1-0.4 and not a single number like 0.1.
