Hi all,

I have a problem with pinging to Yahoo. I get always the error "Yahoo ping: FAILED".

Yes I have a valid Yahoo Application ID. I've tried to slove the problem with next threads, but negative:
- Yahoo Ping Failed
- Yahoo ping: FAILED.

I can acces this URL: http://api.search.yahoo.com/SiteExpl...urllist.txt.gz

For the others: don't use a dot into the yahoo APP id's.

I hope mine doesn't show a dot in it, because I didn't put one there!

How did you go about changing it if you did?

I'm guessing that you just got a new one?

What exactly is this URL supposed to do? It appears to work without the actual appid=df;lakjdflkajdf... in place? However, mind doesn't work with it in place?

I've basically got the same problem, mine's not working either.

the site map isn't showing that it's trying either. See attached. Maybe it is and that's just a bug?

BBAuth for single signon

I'm pretty sure it's not the last 2.

Seems like Yahoo is changing their developer API now and they do not allow to choose own App IDs anymore, providing automatically generated ones.

Yep, that's exactly what they have done. I created my own a while ago, but it did have some . (dots) in it, so I tried to get a new one.

I'm guessing I'll need to wait for a new release.

Yes, i just created a new APP ID without a dot and that worked fine for me

Mine doesn't work either and I can't see to choose my APP ID. :(

Do you have an example of this APP ID thanks. I too are still battling with no response by Yahoo.

I first created this one, but due the dot, it doesn't work: kris.lowetzone32
Then I created this one, without the dot and that works fine: krislowetzone32

It's just my name and the name of my website (Zone32.Be - De spreekbuis voor en door Belgische burgers) but you can chose whatever you want.
