VBseo sitemap stopped working

Hello All,

I was hopping you might be able to help me with a problem I am having.

I few days ago I upgraded to the newest VBadvanced CMPS 3.0.1. I am not sure if its related but my site map does not run.

It stops here:

vBSEO Sitemap Generator
[SECTION START] tags [5,379.8Kb mem used] [60,877s (+60,877s)]
[create sitemap index] filename: sitemap_index.xml.gz, number of sitemaps: 5 [5,380.9Kb mem used] [60,877s (+0s)]

I found the error as it shows up in google webmaster tools and the error message is.

The XML page cannot be displayed

Cannot view XML input using style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later. An invalid character was found in text content. Error processing resource 'http://www.nhldepot.net/ndforums/sitemap_2.xml.g...

Sitemap errors and warnings

LineStatusDetails-Unsupported file format

Problem detected on:Oct 9, 2008
I am not able to re-run the site map to correct the errors.

Any ideas?

Please try to delete all the files ending in .xml.gz in the vbseo_sitemap/data/ folder, and regenerate the sitemap.

It stops at the same place and only creates 1 file - sitemap_index.xml.gz

Does it say anything when it stops? You might have to ask your host to increase your max_execution time.

I changed it from 30 to 300, rebooted server did not run (stops at same place). I then reinstalled vbseo sitemap and it still has the same problem.

I disabled VBA CMPS and ran it again. Stops at same place.

[SECTION START] tags [4,667.9Kb mem used] [118,776s (+118,776s)]
[create sitemap index] filename: sitemap_index.xml.gz, number of sitemaps: 5 [4,669.3Kb mem used] [118,776s (+0s)]

The output does change a bit as the numbers are different (larger)

I do have other plugins running. I went in an disabled them one by one and ran the sitemap after each disable.

The sitemap stopped in the same place each time.

118 thousand seconds is rediculous... lol

something's gotta be locking it up.

to trouble shoot, i would
delete all xml.gz

run again

open the last created sitemap file

find the thread url or whatever is the last one printed out.

find the next ID higher.

examine that thread/post/user. see if there's something wacky on it. a weird character, etc.
