vbseo license expired, javascript drop down menus disabled!

Since my vbseo license has expired a few days ago, all my drop down menus have ceased to function properly and my forum's speed is much slower than it used to be.

    Has anyone experienced this before?

Rather coincidental that certain important features of our board start to malfunction when vbseo license expires.

I'm using the vbseo version that not encrypted so as to avoid a high server strain.

    Any ideas on this?

Do the problems go away if you temporarily disable vBSEO?

If I temporarily disable vbseo, will I lose any of its advantages?

If you just do it for a short period of time, you should be fine. Use the first option in the vBSEO Control Panel to turn it off/on.

Note: You should only do this for a *few minutes* to see if the issue related to your drop-down menu and performance change.

I did this and the javascript drop down menus did not return.

I'm guessing I should maybe disable the product from the admincp panel?

would this adversely affect our forum's status?

If vBSEO was disabled and the errors persisted, it shouldn't be related to vBSEO.

Well, that didn't do anything either.......

I guess we attributed the fact that vbseo had expired recently and had a minor effect on our forum's performance.

We have no idea what could be causing this, all I know is that they just disappeared one day.....lol...

The forum still works, but just no javascript drop down menus and we have disabled and undone any changes that we thought might have caused this.

I guess vbseo is off the list of causes for now...or at least until we renew.

    Thanks for the prompt assistance.

    Bye.

Do the dropdowns still fail to appear if you use a Default style?

Have you checked to confirm that they are indeed turned on in the vBulletin Options?

The thought came to mind because I remember the Googlemap hack, when installed, would cause the smiley settings to be turned off when you chose to 'Edit All Settings' in vBulletin Options.

Something else may have interfered with your javascript dropdowns.

I just switched styles and the javascript dropdown menus were on the default vb skin.

So I guess this must be a skin problem....

This is strange as I've had this skin for about a month now but the javascript drop menu problem occurred Saturday through Sunday.....

they all disappeared one by one...

and I'm talking all javascript drop down menus not just those by the navbar.......lol...

OK, I'll see what we can come up to try and remedy this....thanks for the assistance with this.

Yes, something else could have interfered but what...lol...

We will keep digging and see what we can come up with.

Heading over to vbulletin.com for some assistance with this.

    Thanks, bye.
