    VBSEO does not work (404 error)

    As soon as I turned on the custom rewrite settings, my links were forwarded to a 404 error. How do I fix this?

    Have you uploaded .htaccess?

    Does your host support mod_rewrite?

    I got it working, I didn't upload htacess.

    If you didn't upload .htaccess (or add the rules to httpd.conf or something), there's no way vBSEO *could* be working...

    Interesting.

    Can you verify this Dustin. Your forum seems to be working. I'm sure you must have uploaded the htaccess file as Ace suggested.

    I'm having the same problem, but i have uploaded the .htacess file, and i'm using the same server as my old forums, which had vbseo working fine (after having much trouble with the .htacess file)

    upload it to the root folder, not public_html. that was my issue.

    Hi.
    Have same problem. So .htacess is downloaded my host support mod_rewrite. But when i try to click link for threat or post i got 404 ERROR-PAGE NOT FOUND. Pls advice how i can fix it, what i should to do. vB 3.7.2 vBSEO 3.1.0
