| VBSEO does not work (404 error)
As soon as I turned on the custom rewrite settings, my links were forwarded to a 404 error. How do I fix this?

Hello Dustin, Have you uploaded .htaccess? Does your host support mod_rewrite?

If you didn't upload .htaccess (or add the rules to httpd.conf or something), there's no way vBSEO *could* be working... Interesting.

| Can you verify this Dustin. Your forum seems to be working. I'm sure you must have uploaded the htaccess file as Ace suggested.

I'm having the same problem, but i have uploaded the .htacess file, and i'm using the same server as my old forums, which had vbseo working fine (after having much trouble with the .htacess file)

| upload it to the root folder, not public_html. that was my issue.

Hi. Have same problem. So .htacess is downloaded my host support mod_rewrite. But when i try to click link for threat or post i got 404 ERROR-PAGE NOT FOUND. Pls advice how i can fix it, what i should to do. vB 3.7.2 vBSEO 3.1.0 Thanx in advance. |
