URL's In Sitemap

Hi Guys,

I've been watching my sitemap recently and I'm a bit baffled by the few url's actually indexed in it. There only seems to be around 10 extra url's indexed every week.

I attached a screenshot to show what I mean.

Anyone know of any reason for this?

Note that I have the "If you have vBSEO, include old urls?" set to yesin my sitemap settings.

Also when I query google using "site:www.mywebsiteurl.com" it says I have around 37,000 indexed pages. " Results 1 - 10 of about 37,000 from www.mywebsiteurl.com. (0.07 seconds) "

I would recommend turning OFF including old URL's at this point. I recommend only doing it for about a week or so until you start to see vbseo urls in the search index. At that point, its time to turn off. Eventually, google will flag these as errors, as you will be submitting a 301 page, not the destination page.

I turned that option off now, deleted my old sitemaps, rebuilt and resubmitted. I'll let you know how I get on.

Also I recommended to include only showthread and forumdisplay in your sitemap.

I done some reading since my original post and have since only included showthread & forumdisplay.
