    Urgent help request

After installing vbseo.... it made some drastic errors on my site.

First: It completely disabled my rotating banners in the navbar. No matter what I do I can not get it to work.

Second: I can not view my forums anymore. I get this error:Fatal error: Cannot create references to/from string offsets nor overloaded objects in /home/username/public_html/forums/includes/class_core.php on line 1274

I had to restore a backup from before.. losing several threads :(

    Help!

Did something change? Earlier, right after installation, I saw that it was working correctly on your site.

(Oh, and no need to restore a backup. You can just remove ALL vBSEO files, including the ones in the "includes" directory, and the .htaccess file, and you will then be able to log into your AdminCP and uninstall the product.)

I tried running vbseo again and it is giving me the fatal error sign. Also, my quick reply has been disabled as welll as my rotating banner on the navbar.

The rotating navbar can be fixed when i disable vbSEO. I had to restore a backup from 4 days ago..... because i could not even log into my admincp. After restoring I am able to use my admincp but once I run vbseo again it will give me the fatal error.

(See my edit above about the restore.)

What do you mean by "tried running vbseo again"? You uninstalled after it was working earlier, then were trying to reinstall it?

Please open a support ticket with a temporary FTP and AdminCP login.

    Thanks!

Please let us know the outcome of this installation procedure, I'm curious to know what prevented the ads from rotating properly. Thx!

I don't think it's ftp related. I just changed to a different database and it works fine. Something changed in the database somehow.

It is related to a difference in database structure between fresh vBulletin installs and upgraded ones (db structure can be corrected having ftp access or admincp with sql queries allowed).

We got it figured out last night, thanks. Juan was on top of it.

I understand it has to do with the fact I have a fresh vb 3.6.0 installation. However, I am still unclear how to install vbseo or if i need to wait for the next build and if so when that will be.

    Thanks

    Hello,

please feel free to proceed with installation of vBSEO3.0.0RC3 now, once the problem with db has been resolved.
