    Unsupported file format

    I'm getting an 'Unsupported file format' error on google's sitemaps site. This is the details it gives:

    Your Sitemap does not appear to be in a supported format. Please ensure it meets our Sitemap guidelines and resubmit. More
    I dont know if I'm doing something wrong. But they are in .xml.gz format...since thats what it defaulted to.

    Any ideas?

    I think you made a typo in the URL above:

    http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/sitemap_1.xml.gz



    But, it gets a permissions error. Make sure you set the data directory permissions as outlined in the vBSEO Sitemap instructions.

    Yeah, sorry about the url :P

    Anyways, I've rechecked everything in the install readme and I've done everything correctly. Any other suggestions or areas I should look at?

    update: make sure that permissions for your vbseo_sitemap/data/downloads.dat file are correctly set to 0666.

    It was .htaccess

    Turns out that my problem was that the position of the Rewriterule statement in .htaccess. I moved the line before another one and now it works.
