thread and post redirects ?

This is a discussion on thread and post redirects ? within the Troubleshooting forums, part of the vBSEO Google/Yahoo Sitemap category; A lot of threads and posts are coming up with numerous redirects after installing vbseo . Is this normal ?...

thread and post redirects ?

A lot of threads and posts are coming up with numerous redirects after installing vbseo.

Is this normal ?

Hi,

the problem appears only when replying to posts, here is what was happening...
when replying to a post, after posting the message, instead of redirecting to the post (which normally happens with vBulletin), the following happens instead:

However, I have discovered what was causing the problem. When the Add Standard HTTP Headers option is enabled in vBulletin CP - Cookies and HTTP Header Options, it shows the redirect as a 200 Document OK which you have to click to be redirected to the new post, sometimes it requires 2 or 3 clicks, probably depending on the amount of replies etc.

I have disabled this option and the redirect no longer appears after posting.
