Switching from Zoints to vbSEO. Need help, don't know if things are working fine or not

Hello

I was running Zoints, with vbSEO sitemap generator, and the links in the sitemap file *.xml.gz were all the original vBulletin URLs.

Now, i installed vbSEO.

Because of that, i had the option of vbSEO as "No" in the settings for the vbSEO sitemap generator. I changed it to Yes, since im using vbSEO now.

Now, i was told to change the option of "
If you have vBSEO, include old urls?" in the vbSEO sitemap settings to "No", because when i had it as "Yes", it generated about 60,000 URLs in the sitemap.

before, with Zoints and vbSEO, only 30,000 URLs were.

Now, the URLs in the sitemap file is all vbSEO URLs, not the default vBulletin URLs.

Now, how will google identify that these are the same URLs as before?

My whole goal is, to not loose my PageRank, and to inform google with the correct URLs as before installing vbSEO.

Can someone help?

thanks

Hello,

you can setup a redirect from your old URLs to new vBSEOed URLs as described in Need help 301 redirecting rewritten URLs from another SEO product.
Since your old URLs were NOT vBulletin original links (showthread.php?t=x), you can set "Include old URLs" option to "No".

As I mentioned above, you should keep Include old URLs" option to "No".
