    Sitemap w/o vbseo

Can I use the sitemap until I install vbseo 3.5 RC 3 later this evening or tomorrow? I changed domains and I realize I have it but it was disabled.

Yes, the first option in the sitemap settings asks if you have vbseo installed or not. Make sure it is set correctly.

How do I find out my password? I don't remember it?

Enter your "vBSEO Sitemap Interface Access Password" from admincp:

    OK, thanks.

    Now.

When I try to delete from the Reports List I get the message below (don't know why everything is coming out bold)

    Warning
: fopen() [function.fopen]: Filename cannot be empty in [path]/vbseo_sitemap/index.php on line 258

Make sure your vbseo_sitemap/data/ folder is chmod 777

It's actually the Show Sitemaps Download Log not the Show Reports List but that didn't correct the error, Brian?

On a side note I can't find my htaccess.txt file which comes with 2.5. It's not in the .../forums directory

    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteRule ^((urllist|sitemap).*\.(xml|txt)(\.gz)?)$ vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_getsitemap.php?sitemap=$1 [L]

You may need to delete (or rename if you wish) downloads.dat in the data/ folder. A new file will be created autmatically with correct permissions.

The htaccess rule you list is correct. You will need to physically make that file with that contents in your forum root.

OK, thanks did that. I submitted the sitemap yesterday.

This is what I get when I go here
    http://www.talkclassicrock.com/forum...p_index.xml.gz

It takes time right? I just have to wait.

    Not Found

The requested URL /forums/sitemap_index.xml.gz was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Looks like you are missing the htaccess file.

IT should be in /forums and you need to name it .htaccess, not htaccess.txt (rename it on the ftp site)
