Sitemap url's submited

Hello!

I got a few questions since I'm new here and I' m not quite sure about google sitemap.
I have the last version of the sitemap and of the vbseo.
I first uploaded the sitemap on google webmaster and after a couple of hours it should me 3954 submited url's. After 3 days google downloaded my sitempa but the submited urls remained on 3954 even if the file on my server shows 3971. Is it ok or there is something wrong?

Second question is that why google is still saying: "Indexed URLs in Sitemap: No data available. Please check back soon." Is it normal or again there is something wrong?

I'll hold for the moment with this questions...
I read some threads on this forum and I think I might wait a couple of days or weeks to see the urls indexed.
As for the submited urls I think my mistake was that I put as the url "sitemap_1.xml.gz" and the correct url should point to: "sitemap_index.xml.gz".

Yes, you should index the sitemap_index.xml.gz. The sitemap_1,2,3,4,etc are all included in the main index one.
