    Sitemap tracking code for vBadvanced?

I'm really new to both vBSEO and the Sitemap (like, today new) and I'm stuck on one part.

I used the vBSEO features to create the sitemap, and submitted it to Google Analytics. It's obviously working as I'm already getting reports, however, I'm also getting the error message:

Tracking Not Installed (Last checked: Aug 3, 2008 2:05:23 AM )
The Google Analytics tracking code has not been detected on your website's home page. For Analytics to function, you or your web administrator must add the code to each page of your website.

Is this because I also have vBadvanced? Do I need to manually insert the tracking code for that? I've tried adding it to the FOOTER template, but I still get the error message.

I assume I'm getting reports as it's tracking my forum pages? Is it tracking them only and not getting the front page?

    Hello,

Sitemaps are not directly related to Analytics (although both are included in Google webmaster account).
In order to enable analytics make sure that you have it defined in vBSEO CP ("Log & Tracking Options") - vbseo will automatically insert the tracking code on your pages.

Sorry, that was actually my bad - I got the two (sitemap and Analytics) mixed up. I did both for the first time yesterday and I realised, at 4am this morning, that I had used the wrong wording.

I was meant to say the Analytics tracking code - the snippet of code you get given that says to put on every page you want tracked. I used the vBSEO CP option to insert the tracking code on the forums, does that also use it on the vBadvanced home page?

I'm still getting the error message, "The Google Analytics tracking code has not been detected on your website's home page. For Analytics to function, you or your web administrator must add the code to each page of your website"

It's the home page part that I'm noticing. Do I need to manually insert the code Analytics gives me on a vBadvanced template? Or does the vBSEO insert that there as well?

Just not sure why I'm getting that error message...

    Sorry for the confusion.

Yes, it is applied on every page powered by vBulletin (including vBa cmps).

You should not manually update templates. Make sure that you have correctly entered your Analytics ID in vBSEO CP. You can find your ID in Analytics->Edit Account->Check Status:
    Code:
    var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker("UA-XXXXXX-1");
    Where UA-XXXXXX-1 is your ID.

Yup, correctly added it as I'm getting numbers on my reports already. Well at least I assume it's correct if I'm getting the reports.
