About LinkBacksIf I select yes for "Include Show Thread Pages" then 20 seconds are added to the sitemap generation time. I have 4,000 threads.

It takes time to obtain your thread details from database and include the URLs in sitemap (perhaps you have also enabled "showpost" pages in the options).

I have a site that takes over 200 seconds total for the sitemap to generate. What's the total time for yours?

Total is about 30 seconds. I do have showpost also enabled.
What is the best recommendation? Disable showpost or showthread? or enable both? How often should the cron job run?

A daily cron job is fine.

wow, I wish mine was 30 seconds. I'm up to ~400 w/ a dual xeon 2gb ram

I disabled showpost pages and changed my post per page from 10 to 30. The site map is now generated in 9 seconds.
