Sitemap seems to have stopped working!

Ok tbh the past couple of months I've been to busy to look at the site so just assumed things were working when I was running 3.8.4 with the latest compatible sitemap.

Anyway, Over the weekend I upgraded vb3.8.4 to vb4.0.3 and downloaded the latest beta sitemap and installed and assume it was working.

    WELL!

Today I logged into Google webmasters for the first time in months and I notice that:

sitemap_1-3 have a tick by them
    sitemap_4.xml.gz has a ! mark in a triangle

Further info was: URLs not followed. When we tested a sample of URLs from your Sitemap, we found that some URLs redirect to other locations. We recommend that your Sitemap contain URLs that point to the final destination (the redirect target) instead of redirecting to another URL.

    sitemap_5.xml.gz has a X red cross.

Further info was: Parsing error. We were unable to read your Sitemap. It may contain an entry we are unable to recognize. Please validate your Sitemap before resubmitting.

    ----

So I went into the sitemap generator and when I try and generate a sitemap I get the following error:

[SECTION START] albums [5,813.8Kb mem used] [6,858,570s (+6,858,570s)]

under that a vb logo with "database error"

    then

The My Spain - British Expat In Spain Forum database has encountered a problem.

    Nothing more specific than that!

    ----

Further investigation at the logs directly was nothing since Jan 25th!! That's when I was still using vb3.8.4 so it has not been working for a long time!

I have also renamed the old sitemap to .old and tried to regenerate a new one and I get the same db error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    another known issue?

Disabled tags and it created ok, is the tag problem known then?! as from my limited knowledge of SEO it seems they're quite useful to have in a sitemap?

    Yes, also a known issue.

Tags are not super important. Remember, just because its not in your sitemap doesn't mean it won't get indexed. Since all your showthreads are included, there are links to all possible tags from showthread that the bots will follow.
