Sitemap generation error..

Hi,
I recently noticed, after upgrading to sitemap 3.0 today, that the last generate sitemap report was almost one year ago... Im not really sure why or what changes I made to the forum that it all of a sudden stopped working but one day it did happen.

After Upgrading, i manually ran the generator via http://www.mysite.com/vbseo_sitemap/, I worked fine and I even got a confirmation email. The strange thing is that eventhough my forum had almost doubled in posts over this time, the Total Indexed URLs went from 322,541 to 323,326.

When i tried to run the the cron job manually, i got this error: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 7439262 bytes). i know it has something to do with the php limit i have set but is there anyway to get around this? When i set the php limit much higher i could easily,(and did many time) get out of memory if every script user was allowed to use that much memory.

Is there anyway to break it down so it does not use so much memory at one? How come I was able to generate without error in http://www.mysite.com/vbseo_sitemap/ and not by running the cron? Why such a small growth in total indexed URLS if the post count went up by a few hundred K?

BTW, i have it set to 40000 Max URLs in Sitemap Files if that makes any difference. Also, just tried running the generate from http://www.mysite.com/vbseo_sitemap/ and got the same error as from cron:(

If you can't increase the memory_limit setting, you will need to remove some sections from being included.

Also make sure that you don't have anything in the 'delay execution between files'.

Where should i look for to check if i have 'delay execution between files'.?

it's on the vbseo sitemap options panel towards the bottom.

Oh i have "0" in Delay Execution After Each Sitemap File. Should I increase it to about 5 sec delay or remove the zero completely?

save it as empty (null)

Ok i tried with empty the first time and still got that error. The split the sitemaps to maximum of 20000 urls and it went though just fine. Could that have effected it? Is it normal I ended up with 30 sitemaps after it finished?

Also, why do i have 2 sitemap cron jobs at 2am: vBSEO Search Engine XML Sitemap and vBSEO - Create Google/Yahoo Sitemap ? Is that the same thing and could one be deleted? which one?

How many sitemaps you end up with depends on how many sections you include, and number of threads/posts/users/blgos/ etc etc that you include.

You should delete both crons, and then re-import the sitemap product with over-write. It will re-create the correct task.
