| Sitemap file not found
I just installed vbseo 3.1.0 on my forums, which seemed to work out okay as far as I can tell at the moment. After I installed vbseo I installed vBSEO Sitemap Generator 2.1 but when I go to /forums/vbseo_sitemap/ and click on the link next to 'Your Google Sitemap Index URL', I get: 'Sitemap file not found'. I tried 'Run Sitemap Generator', but I still get Sitemap file not found.. I'm not sure what to do. Any thoughts? |

What was the output when you tried 'Run Sitemap Generator'?

Frankly I don't remember what the output was, I didn't see an error or something so I just went on. In the mean time I read somewhere that it's necessary to add the url my the sitemap in my google account. So that's what I did. When I click on 'Your Google Sitemap Index URL' now I don't get the error ''Sitemap file not found' anymore, but I'm not sure if what I am seeing is good. At the top of that page (mysite.com/forums/sitemap_index.xml.gz) it says: 'This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.' Below that I see only this: <sitemapindex xsi:schemaLocation=" Index of /schemas/sitemap/0.9 http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/09/siteindex.xsd"> − <sitemap> <loc>http://www.mysite.com/forums/sitemap_1.xml.gz</loc> <lastmod>2008-04-10T12:15:03+00:00</lastmod> </sitemap> </sitemapindex> Is something still wrong? |
