data/ should be 777, and it should also have an htaccess file in it that secures it from items running directly in there.

I have just re run it
The sitemap was generated today at 7:30am
    Present time here 22:11
The sitemap page was showing the blogs xml, but when you went into the file it had gone
I just found the 404 warning on my google webmaters

I will keep an eye on the files to see if they are being altered in any way

Just checked the htaccess and it has "deny from all"

    That looks correct.

Its possible the task just timed out on the blogs, not creating the file completely or correctly.

Its the first time its happened.
I had a couple of database errors about the same period this morning either side of it being generated, so its possible someone was up to no good at the time putting load on the server
    No errors all day
I cant remember which of my favorite countries are active with their national games of hacking at that period of the day

Good luck with the hurricane if its near you Brian

yeah, it sounds like you hit a "wait_timeout" limit and got gone away errors which caused the problem.

I'm hunkering down for the storm. Been running out side in between tickets/posts to lock up my patio furniture and other misc stuff out in the yard. I'm mostly worried about the rain. 5-15" is the predicted level. IT floods arond 3-4 here, and its been raining for the past few days already so ground is saturated and rivers are higher than they could be.
Plus, it's high-tide and a full/new moon when it hits! i'm not near the coast, but it's looking like they will get hammered with storm surge.

Not much more can go wrong your side of the pond by the sounds of it
I know the guys I get my server from sent out a mass email to all customers.
Thats when I knew it might be a bad one
Talk of generators being tested, full tanks of fuel etc in their email
Send some rain this way. Not seen any since about May this year

    Good luck
