Server Overload....

I'm having some serious issues with the sitemap generator. I'm currently on a Shared Hosting Plan. I have it set so that the sitemap is generated every day at 2 am. Last night was the first time it was run. I wake up this morning to find that my host provider had to temporarily disable my forums because the vbseo.php was severely overloading the server. He said on a server that normaly sees loads around 2-3, the load was up to 80+. He also said there were hundreds of instances of vbseo.php open, like they were randomly not shutting down. Have you guys seen this problem before? What could be the cause?

Re: Server Overload....

vbseo.php isn't part of the sitemap generator. That's vbSEO. Are you running vbSEO also?

Re: Server Overload....

Hello Kyle,

please check your task configuration vB Scheduler - perhaps you set "minutes" option to "*", which means to execute it every minute from 2am to 3am (it should be set to "0" or any other non-* value).

Re: Server Overload....

Yes I am, however I'm convinced that it has to do with the Sitemap Generator because my host said nothing was wrong till after 2 am. Plus I had already has vbSEO running for a day beforehand, and nothing was wrong.
