Rewrite problem - underscore and space both get converted to minus

I've searched around for this and not found any useful info on my particular problem.

Today a user registered with the name monkey_boy. But there was an existing user called "monkey boy". Whenever anyone clicks on the profile it converts the name in the URL to monkey-boy.

Basically the underscore and the space characters are both being converted to the same thing "-".

I'm running 3.0.0 Gold on VB 3.6.7 PL1. I haven't changed many settings from the default and am not doing anything fancy at all concerning seo. I looked through my vbseo control panel and couldn't see any options concerning this particular character conversion.

Is this a bug, or something I am supposed to configure? This seems like a sub-optimal situation to me.

Thanks for that. The format seems to have changed in 3.0.0, but I figured it out based on the other thread.

Since I run a default setup, surely I can't be the only vbseo user that gets hit with this problem? Maybe the defaults should be changed slightly?

Thank you for suggestion, we will consider to include it in default URL formats preset.
