    Question Really confused about notices

This is my first post on vBSEO. I've used it for just over a year on Scottish Business Forums - Providing help and advice to businesses in Scotland without any issues.

I've searched the forum threads and i'm really confused as to why my notices dont work. I used to use welcome headers but i'm starting to think using notices might be a better way to get people interacting with the forums more.

I'm getting all confused with Virtual HTML display and no matter what I try I cant get anything to display.

Using vBulletin 3.83 and vBSEO 3.3.0.

Any suggestions would be greatfully received

Hello, maybe you can send us a picture of your settings for the notices to see if something is not right.

However, this sounds like a vBulletin problem, and you might get more help over there.

    Hi Michael,

    Thanks for your response

What do you mean by settings? The notices section is within AdminCP. There are only two options Notices Manager and Add Notice. Add notice merely allows you to set a title, put the text in and set it as active etc. Notices Manager allows you to delete and edit.

What sort of settings are you referring to?

Well you need to add a new one to make it visible. The settings I meant were the things you defined it to show as.

I have a dummy account which is set as a Registered User so that I can test various things at that user level. Nothing is displaying at all :(

What happens if you disable vBSEO? Does the notices show then?

You might need to update your navbar template. That would be the first place that I would look.
