    quick site map question

    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteRule ^((urllist|sitemap).*\.(xml|txt)(\.gz)?)$ vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_getsitemap.php?sitemap=$1 [L]

I currently have no htaccess in my forum root because I placed the info in my http.conf file. So do i just need to tell my host to add the above info to the http.conf file, or do i create an htaccess in my root and put the above in it? thanks!

If you have added the default vBSEO rewrite rules to your http.conf, then that already includes this line, and nothing further should need to be done.

    Yes, that is fine.

You should submit urllist.txt.gz to Yahoo.

great! ok got it submitted to yahoo. Last question is in my settings i was a little fuzzy on this:

"When Google spiders the old url's, it gets 301'ed to the new url's so the old url's re removed from Google. Include this option until you note that most old url's have gone from Google."

I set it to yes, but am not exactly sure if i should have done that. I'm assuming i should leave that on YES until i notice no more old url's in google..

Submit it from your forums directory, just like the Google sitemap files.
