Question about sitemap generator 2.6 beta 2

Hi!

I upgraded to beta 2 of sitemap generator 2.6 yesterday. What I have seen is that now it only sends about 3000 url's instead of about 18000. How come?

in Beta 2 we have removed the option "keep old URL's" which included both your re-writen URL's and the old vBulletin URL's, this was pointless as Google will only accept URL's that give a 200 code in sitemaps, the old URL's would all have given 301 code's and so would be ignored by google.

As this has now been removed it is expected that your URL count will drop.

Thanks for your answer Ceri! I was little worried there that something was wrong.

I installed the new Site Map Generator 2.6 beta, it works fine except for not having SE bots statistics anymore? (I have been using 2.6 beta for two days now)

It worked with the old sitemap generator 1.7 I had for vb 3.8. I also deleted a lot of old log files, look like I never cleaned that up in the past.

bot stats still exist in 2.6. Make sure your data/ folder is chmodded correctly (777)

Its 777. I can view when sitemap has been downloaded, and see vbseo sitemap gen creates log files in data folder. But I cant view SE activity.

Its a minor problem for me, dont use it much anyway.

Do you have the option enabled in vbseoCP to track?

Make sure this is set to yes.
