Product stopped generating updated sitemaps?

Hello!

It looks like the product has stopped generating new sitemaps for more than a year.

Yesterday I upgraded the site and the plugin, and that was when I found out that my files were very old!

Any idea about the reason? I get a database error when I try to generate a sitemap!

UPDATE: there is a XML sitemap section on my admin - is this from vbseo or from vb4?

That is from vb4.

Make sure you have vbseo sitemap 2.6 beta2 installed along side vb4/vbseo 3.5. If you are still reciving a db error after this, please paste the exact error message from view->source here.

Please try disabling Include Tags option within vBSEO Sitemap Generator settings

It looks like you nailed it

It does not show on the report pages yet, but I assume this can take some time?

It should show up instantly when completed. Make sure your data/ folder is writable.

The permission of the data folder is "705". Is it enough? If not, please tell me the correct code please.

The permissions of data folder should be 777

Ok, I changed that. But now I noticed that the last creation on my report (see above) took more than one year?

I think there is some sort of loop there or error of some kind.

I asked it to create again, and it stopped while creating the first sitemap file.

Since it never finished due to errors, this is normal. It should be a realsitic number next time (100-300 seconds ish)

Wow, now I think it is ok.

I used 20K urls per sitemap, is it the best? Or would you use more/less urls per file?

20k is fine.
