Point of view of sitemap script
From which point of view does the sitemap script work?
I mean: are URL of private threads included in the sitemaps? Or does the script just act as a guest user and only includes threads and posts that can be accessed by anyone?

Only guests, unless you manually run the Scheduled Task from AdminCP. If you do that, it will run under your (Admin) permissions.

To see if I got this right: if the job is run via cron then only the articles and threads will be included that can be seen by guests?

You can build it manually using the option on the Sitemap Menu. You should never run the scheduled task manually.
