Pings Failed

Hi: since jan 7th 2008 (2 days ago) the vbseo is reporting me that it can´t notify anybody and i have in the report:
Google ping: FAILED.
Yahoo ping: FAILED.

I had read many recent posts about it and i modified vbseo_sitemap_functions.php, vbseo_sitemap_functions.php, even i tried with curl and it's ok, but vbseo didn´t works as before that day.

I didn´t upgrade any software in my site.

Some ideas?? some help please??

PD: meanwhile i submit the sitemaps manually and the maps are ok, but it isn't the idea.

Are you running the latest version of vBSEO Sitemap Generator?

I think so (in my vbulletin products):
vBSEO 3.1.0 vBulletin SEO
is there something newest than that?

The latest version of vBSEO Sitemap Generator (not vBSEO product) is v2.1.

My fault!. My version is 2.0! I'm going to upgrade.

Ok, after the upgrade:

Google ping: FAILED.
Yahoo ping: FAILED.
Ask ping: FAILED.
Moreover ping: FAILED.

Another idea?

Please apply these changes: sitemap no more pinging since upgrade 2.0 => 2.1

I did it just before upload the new files, then the error appears with the posts 8 and 9 from that thread applied .

Did you re-generate sitemap after upgrading AND applying the fix?

I had regenerated the sitemap as 5 times after that, i used the option 'Run Sitemap Generator' from the vBSEO Sitemap Reports.

Something more that i could check?

Possibly your host blocked outgoing http requests if it has suddenly stopped working a few days ago, please check that.

The host was restarted and the software works again. I think that (as you said) some services were stopped.
