    Not a peep...

I've not seen any changes at all with VBSEO, unfortunately. There used to be all sorts of spiders on the forum before and lots of Google visits, but now it's practically dead. I'm not sure why.
No yahoo stats at all, either.

On my old forum without VBSEO, I got up to PR4 with no promotion and the current forum is still a whopping zero. I'm starting to feel that there might be a problem with the configuration, or something.

Also, what does this mean - where can I find the text sitemap?
    Generate Yahoo-Compatible Text Sitemap
Select "Yes" to automatically generate a text format sitemap with 1 URL per line.
This text sitemap must be manually submitted to Yahoo at http://submit.search.yahoo.com/free/request/
    Regards...

Hello Mike, since october 20th. And perhaps it doesn't mean much, but the site's code looks really mushy and weird -- but I just checked and it looks like something that's common to VBSEO sites.

I just tried to validate the forum and got:

Please, validate your XML document first!
    Line 5
    Column 721
The element type "img" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "</img>".

You have not have vbseo installed long enough for it to have any real effect on your results.

6 months is a good time frame to look for results. That means, once you have finished tinkering with your settings, and leave them alone, 6 months from that point. Depending on the site, the time frame may be much shorter, or it may be a little longer, but rest assured, the wait is worth it.

As to your ping failing on yahoo, you need to set that up via your admincp. in your sitemap settings, you will see a link to get your yahoo application ID. Once you get that, put your ID in and make sure the setting is set to "yes".

Everything should work for you at that point.

I havent set my code to validate on vbulletin forums because vbulletin from it's stock setup does not validate. To make your site validate, you just need to find out where the error is coming from and correct it.

I am pretty new to this validation stuff, and just validated my homepage which had 177 errors, LOL.
