Not able to notify, ping to Yahoo, Google!

Hi, i installed vBSEO site map Generator for my client. Everythign works fine exept report shows

Google Notify: NO
Yahoo Notify: NO

and

Search Engines Pings
Google FAILED
Yahoo FAILED
Ask FAILED
Moreover FAILED


So how can i fix this?

Please try this: sitemap no more pinging since upgrade 2.0 => 2.1 (posts 8 and 9)

vbseo_sitemap_functions.php file should be modified as described in the post I linked above.

It works for most of them but moreover.

So is there another fix for it?

It should be working as well. It's possible that your server blocks access to api.moreover.com for some reason.

I replaced those lines in the vbseo_sitemap_functions.php file and I made sure allow_url_fopen = On but I'm still getting the same "Failed" from all of the sites, this has only started happening as of 2/19 and I didn't change anything at all on the site since January...

Do you have outgoing http connections allowed on your server?

I had a problem with the Yahoo ping. It would constantly fail, so I applied the new code from the thread listed above, and it corrected the Yahoo ping issue. Now, I have a problem with Moreover. In the report, it states:

Moreover ping: FAILED.

Any ideas on how to correct this issue?

I'm pretty sure I do, how would I go about making sure?

Do you have vBSEO's "retrieve titles for external links" feature working on your forum (i.e. when you post a link vBSEO retrieves the title: Google )

No, that feature is not enabled.
