    META Descriptions

Before vBSEO I had Zoints, now I have installed vBSEO; my META Tags (On Google) are not displaying in an SEO friendly way.

Will Zoints have affected this? How can I correct it? Can vBSEO Staff help?

    Cheers - Dan

    What is an example?

As long as they look okay on your site now, with vBSEO, the search engines will update eventually.

Google have updated the links, but not the META Descriptions...

For example RedCardForums.com - The UK's Ultimate Football Forum. User Name, Remember Me? Password. Community · Fun Stuff · Football Scores · Mark Forums Read ...

That is the Updated META description for a category - surely that is not correct?!?

I would prefer them to appear like -

    Code:
Supplier Discussion - Discuss wholesale suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers all in here. Have you found a supplier that you want to get an.

Viewing the source of your page, I see:

    Code:
<meta name="description" content="Redcardforums.com is the UK's Ultimate football forum. From the EPL to Bundesliga. From transfer rumours, to latest match news and reports. Find it all at Redcardforums.com." />

So, it should update in the search engines eventually.

OH OK, Thanks, do the Search Engines normally take long to update META Descriptions or is it just pot luck?

It depends on how many links you have to the page. Should be updated within a week or so even on small sites.

Google seem to have updated my site (10th of November - vBSEO had been installed)

And now for the vBookie section; it now says Powered by vBulletin® Version 3.6.8 Copyright © 2000-2007 Jelsoft Enterprises Limited Content Relevant URLs by vBSEO 3.0.0.

    Basically that is my footer...

Is there any way that Zoints SEO would have affected this?

We have no control over what Google does. As long as your page shows a good Meta Description at this time, there's nothing you can do except wait.
