Lost URLs - vBSEO Search Engine XML Sitemap 3.0 Gold

Upgraded from 2.6 to vBSEO Search Engine XML Sitemap 3.0 Gold.

I went from 26,400 ULRs to 3,357.

Why? Is this going to harm me, or is this just a better map that is more focused?

My previous Site Map according to Webmaster Tools had 26,400 but only Indexed 2,279.

Now it's showing on Webmaster Tools

This is not acceptable, I'm not very happy right now.

Your settings should haven't changed.

The "Include old urls" feature was dropped in 3.0. If you had this enabled, there's your count. As these were all 301 urls, and the search engines stopped accepting them, it is now useless to submit them (if not counter productive).

Your sitemap seems fine ans the 2200 url count seems accurate

Make sure webmaster tools has the correct url for your sitemap index file.

http://www.goaliecrease.net/sitemap_index.xml.gz

Obviously it has the right URL, or it wouldn't have picked up the change when I upgraded to 3.0.

I'm not aware of the OLD Urls feature, I may have had it enabled, I pretty much left it as a basic install and didn't change any options.

Today Webmasters shows

URLs Submitted: 3358
0 URLs in web index.

How come 0 are in the web index?

Sorry if these are stupid questions but this is relatively new to me this whole SEO thing.

Since the old sitemap used different INNER urls

(sitemap_x vs sitemap_SCETIONNAME_x) it may take a bit for it to recognize the urls.
