Installation Problems - Still

Hello everyone, I purchased VBSEO 3 days ago, and still cannot get this working,

The installation was quick but nothing will work, I click on URLs and pages are blank, except for the actual URL on the top of that page in the left .

My Site maps doesnt work either, CPanel gives error messages page not found for those.

I am wondering if this is a problem with my htaccess... I followed the sticky post about how to config this, yet still nothing will work..

My host has told me the following:

Apache mod_rewrite is ON for the server and allowed, and you are free to upload and configure an .htaccess file in your website root directory.

I have a support ticket also but thought I would ask other members as well in case someone else has had this problem, , since Its taking along time to get this going....

Many thanks

Did you copy your .htaccess directly from the vBSEO unzip?

Terrie,

As Mert and I pointed out in your ticket, your memory limit is set way too low. 8MB is not an industry standard, not when it comes to vBulletin forums at least.

You need to have them increase it to at least 32MB, this is what is causing the issues, not the .htaccess.

If you have no luck with them raising the limit, there are many hosts out there who can accomodate you. I'm sure many of our customers are on shared hosting.

that must come from you htaccess , most blank pages are 500 internal errors related to rewrites in the case of vbseo, make sure if you have a webroot like /www and a forum root like /www/forums, you must put the htaccess in /www/forums and not the /www, such blank page can be caused by such mistake but I rreally dont see if that's not that, if your webhost is cool they may investigate the error logs to check what happen, without logs to debug a 500 error is so hard
